Laney Blacketer

My Name is Laney Blacketer I’m a senior at Odessa High School currently attending Lex-La-Ray Technical Center in Lexington Mo Where I am a second year student in the Automotive Technology Program.

Favorite Essential Element: SkillsUSA has had an impact in all aspects of my life this organization has taught me what I believe to be the most important Essential Element Work Ethic that has helped me from School to my Softball Team Even to my place of work.

My future looks like: Speaking of my place of work I work in a local Auto Body Shop but My future goal is to become an ASE Certified Master Technician. That’s the love that has been rooted deep down in me from being raised on four-wheelers dune buggies and restoration cars. 

Something unique about me: A fun fact about me is that me and my family have been riding dune buggies, and four wheelers down in the Oklahoma sand dunes since before I can remember.

Advice to Members: One peice of advise I would give to every member is to always believe in your self, you all have what it takes in you, but what makes it happen is your own self confidence and desire.
